Abstract
Experimental investigations were carried out using a CSTR polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). A clear influence of parameters during the course of the recorded voltage vs. current curves (UI curve) was observed. The predicted potentiostatic bistabilities within the UI curves of the PEMFC were highlighted. The appearance of different shapes of a PEMFC UI curve in relation to its dependence upon the relative humidity and the flow rate of the feed gases was elucidated. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the 18th International Congress of Chemical and Process Engineering (Prague, Czech Republic 8/24-28/2008).
