Abstract
Growing electrification and advancements in technology are driving the demand for electric motors. As a result, more research and development is required in many areas, including testing techniques. The purpose of this work is to examine the breakdown voltage and PDIV of magnet wire in order to determine if it may be utilized as winding insulation in electric motors. Another aim is to investigate the influence of the two embedded media on the PDIV and breakdown voltage, and to determine whether the measurement method using the medium of water is a simple method for investigation. As a result, measurements according to the standard and those made in ambient medium water were compared.
