Mr Folke Dencker is a lecturer and researcher in nanotechnology at the Leibniz University Hannover at the Institute of Micro Production Technology (IMPT). In 2015, he completed his master's degree in nanotechnology and began his academic career at the IMPT. In 2017, he took over the management of a work group whose key research areas were in the fields of sensor technology and tribology. In his work group, the research goals were defined by modern requirements for process data acquisition in harsh environments, driven by the needs of Industry 4.0. His core tasks consisted of the customer-specific development of novel sensors as a link between the process and the digital world. In 2021, he was appointed Chief Engineer of the IMPT and has since been responsible for the institute's research, personnel and finance.
