Abstract

The paper is concerned with the application of microcomputers to engineering problems. First, the hardware concept of an engineering workstation is discussed. Then, a comparison between single- and multiusersystems is made. Furthermore, aspects of software development are discussed and the application of microcomputers to structural problems using the finite element method is shown.
