Abstract

For the improvement of properties ionic liquids (iL) in different concentrations were incorporated in fluorinated rubber (Fpm) and hydrogenated acrylonitrilebutadiene rubber (HNBr). different types of iLs were used based on imidazolium and pyrrolidinium cations. The scope of this work was to identify structure- property relationships. Compared to the raw polymer significant lower glass transition temperatures (Tg) and lower viscosity were observed for Fpm / iL - and HNBr / iL - systems in dependency of the iL- structure. Stress-strain measurements on elastomers with iL result in solely minor reduced values of tensile strength.
