Abstract
The aerobic granular sludge for simultaneous nitrification and denitrification (SND) was cultivated in SBR reactor by reducing the sludge settling time gradually. The diameter of granule, SVI and MLSS is about 400-800 μm, 11.7 mL/g and 9.4 g/L, respectively. The maximum NH4+-N loading is 42 g·m-3·d-1, and the removal efficiency of COD, NH4+-N and TIN is 90.6%, 82.5% and 75.3%, respectively, when COD/N ratio is 18.3. The influence of environmental factors on the stability of aerobic granular sludge system and the turbidity of effluent were discussed on the basis of experimental phenomenon. And aerobic granules cultivated in different kinds of way were summarized.
