Abstract
Non-circular rolling investigates the feasibility of rolling seve-ral mutually offset and locally non-round shaped elements into a cylindrical semi-finished product. A sub-area of investigati-ons is the rolling of two elliptical sections. From three different calculation methods for determining the tool engraving one was chosen for a simulative parameter study. The main influ-encing variables, including length and width of the engraving and a process window were identified.
