Abstract
In the cluster of excellence "PhoenixD", scientists of the Leibniz University of Hanover are researching methods for the highly productive manufacturing of precision optical components. In a sub-project, a linear actuator with electromagnetic guidance is being developed at the Institute of Production Engineering and Machine Tools (IFW). With this actuator, the components can be precisely aligned during the manufacturing processes, process forces can be adjusted and all important process variables can be measured in real-time.
