Abstract
This paper presents a novel approach of adaptive inspection planning which allows a targeted, production-parallel adaptation of the inspection plan by using virtual quality inspections. The reduction of already unambiguously inspected characteristics results in a considerable potential for the reduction of inspection efforts and costs within industrial quality assurance. A first parameter study demonstrates the influence of different factors on the virtual inspection result and the inspection duration.
