N2 - This article explores Inclusive Citizenship Education (ICE) in Germany, Austria and Australia. It compares how these countries approach diversity and inclusion in schools. The findings show that all three countries struggle to implement ICE in everyday classroom practices. While Australia has a longer tradition of immigration and a more inclusive approach, Germany and Austria place greater emphasis on students adapting to existing norms. The article concludes by suggesting that inclusive educational practices should focus on power structures and incorporate marginalized student perspectives.
