Abstract
Photovoltaic systems on roofs or facades represent a poorly utilized area, since small building facades increase cost, require special mounting solutions and also reduce efficiency if the modules are not optimally oriented. This paper focuses on a concept to integrate a micro-inverter and digital technology into the photovoltaic module (AC photovoltaic module) based on a first prototype and thus achieve advantages in terms not only of cost and grid utilization but also of reliability and safety.
