Beschreibung
The overall project objective of STICS is to create an innovation ecosystem around Slovakian municipalities based on data sharing among different types of shareholders. This ecosystem will enable creation of novel advanced domain applications as well as horizontal services built upon heterogenous and large data sources and utilizing emerging technologies (e.g. AI, Big data, Edge computing, Distributed ledger technologies). The STICS consortium consists of 24 different partners including numerous universities, municipalities and private sector companies.
As a STICS consortium member, the LUH team is investigating the One Health concept from a spatial perspective to develop a new theoretical proposition for the analysis of cities using a cross-layer and cross-scale mixed-methods approach. This includes the proposed One Health City Framework (OHCF), which is translated into an easy-to-use indicator: the One Health City Spatial Index (OHCI). The index integrates open-source data to analyse dense urban agglomerations, focusing on inclusive, human-centred mobility patterns, exposure, biodiversity, and green spaces. To support practical application, a digital tool has been developed to enable the use of these concepts in urban planning. Together, the framework and tool are designed to identify deficiencies and inform evidence-based strategic planning for sustainable urban development.
